Herbal Infused Honey

Whenever we make a gift like this, I think there’s a little extra love in it and they can feel it when they open it. Using ingredients that are safe and natural also show that you’re being extra thoughtful, ya little cutie.

Ingredients

  • Dried Herbs
  • Honey (local is best)
  • Clean jar with a lid
  • Small spoon

Instructions

Fill your jar about a ⅓ of the way full with dried herbs.  Pour in your honey until you reach the top of the jar.

Gently stir the honey.  Make sure there’s enough honey that it’s covering all your plant material.

In about 2-4 weeks, strain the herbs out of the honey if you can (sometimes heating it up can help with this) or just enjoy the honey with the herbs still inside.

Using Herbal Honey

It is also good on it’s own, in tea or warm milk, in baking recipes and in a homemade face mask.

The shelf life is 1 year.

Suggested Herbs

Sore throat? Try sage, thyme, or chamomile.

Cold and flu season? Infuse your honey with elderberry.

Need something for upset bellies? Infuse your honey with peppermint.

Want to relax? Try a little lemon balm in your honey.
