For the past year I’ve been on a medication that helps my vestibular disorder (PPPD) but has also caused me to gain quite a bit of weight. I was being monitored by my doctor though, so I’ve just ignored it since the medicine helped ease my symptoms.
That being said, I have a big goal this summer and I need to lose some weight for it.
In the past I’ve just done Nutrisystem here or there when I’ve been heavier (after having my kids, right after Covid, etc). While it has always worked for me when I stuck to it, I feel like I want to do something more sustainable and affordable right now and less processed.

How did I gain so much in a year?
So… I already eat relatively healthy for my meals. We eat a lot of organic, some homegrown, and I eat smaller portions. I also try to include a lot of protein.
But right now I have two things working against me: my metabolism both because of my age (40 in November 2024), and the side effects of this medication I started last year, AND I have a sweet tooth!
I’m a baker! I love entertaining! And I don’t want that to change, but I also need to think more about moderation.
On top of that, I probably have a third thing working against me, really. We eat drive-thru once a week and we also like to eat out at restaurants. These things just add up so quick.
Why Trim Healthy Mama
I’m overall a confident person. I like my curves!
But it has just gone too far. My clothes aren’t fitting and I’m carrying way too much weight for my height.
I want to feel vibrant, capable, and healthy again. I want to fit back into my favorite clothes.
I’ve heard so many good things about the Trim Healthy Mama program. They emphasize choice and freedom within your eating habits, which I can get behind.
I also need something that is going to take the overthinking aspect off my plate. I love that the planning is done for you and they have a strong, encouraging community.
So I’ve ordered the book and cookbook and have the podcast in my library, ready to go! I can’t wait to get started.

Weight Loss Goals
Goal #1: Lose 15 lbs by my goal date of August 1st 2024.
Goal #2: Add another consistent exercise besides walking and yoga to my weekly routine.

I’m not going to share my starting weight and ending weight.
I will share how much I lose, though! And I will tell you that my current weight puts me *right* at the BMI # that considers me… obese. 😳
That feels a little surreal.
It is time to address this and I believe Trim Healthy Mama is gonna be my best tool to do it.
So come along with me… I’m feeling motivated and will probably need your cheerleader vibes. haha.
